About Swag Brewery
Maxwell loves to make people happy. That's always been the foundation of any business venture he's launched - whether it's solving a problem or simply making someone smile. During his senior year at the U, he worked in what was then a fledgling craft beer industry in the Twin Cities. Convinced the "craft beer movement" had momentum, he decided to launch a company to outfit craft beer lovers across the world. Swag Brewery started as a humble pop-up shop at Midwest beer festivals, but it has now grown to become a national brand that sells beer, wine, and whiskey-themed gifts online and at more than 1,300 retailers across the country. Now local to Tallahassee, Florida, he is also a partner at Ology Brewing Co, a microbrewery focused on crafting IPAs and barrel-aged sour ales. Ever-passionate about supporting local economies and never taking oneself too seriously, Maxwell encourages others to "think globally, drink locally."
