About Blue Heron Body Home
Blue Heron Body Home handcrafts earth friendly soaps, candles and gifts to help you feel clean, calm & cozy in your body and home.
Our brand's ethos revolves around sustainability and responsible practices. This commitment to the environment is evident in the development of our line of palm-free zero waste soaps, carefully crafted without the use of palm oil. Instead, we source raw organic fair-trade shea and cocoa butter directly from skilled artisans in Ghana, supporting their hand-processing techniques and creating a positive impact. By championing these women and their traditional methods, we foster a sustainable cycle that benefits both them and the environment. Furthermore, our packaging is consciously designed using cellulose fiber, ensuring that our clear bags and compostable packaging align with our unwavering commitment to reducing waste.

About Jennifer
Jen Miller, Owner of Blue Heron Body Home, has a degree in Chemistry and decades of experience as a personal and business coach. Inspired by her personal quest to habitually add pockets of peace to her daily life and by her family’s challenges navigating celiac disease, psoriasis, and mental health, Jen is driven by an emphasis on mindful living and a personal understanding of the importance of making informed choices about what is applied to our bodies and consumed in our homes.
Since taking the company’s helm in 2020 when the founder retired, Jen has expanded its product lines beyond the original handcrafted soap recipe and the brand is now known as Blue Heron Body Home. She has personally developed a line of palm-free zero-waste soaps, 100% soy wax candles, and a wide variety of restorative and calming body and home products. Jen has also strengthened the impact of Blue Heron’s commitment to sustainability and continuously strives to demonstrate her brand’s ethos through conscious sourcing of ingredient and packaging options, as well as through sustainability-driven business practices.
For example:
• Blue Heron’s new zero waste soaps are crafted without the use of palm oil. Instead, Jen sources raw organic fair-trade shea and cocoa butter from skilled artisans in Ghana, supporting their traditional hand-processing techniques and fairly compensating them for their work.
• Packaging is consciously designed using cellulose fiber, ensuring that the clear bags and compostable materials utilized align with an unwavering commitment to reducing waste.
• Operating on solar power, every product in the line is created through the powerful warmth of sunshine.
